Before the first payday, confirm which pay information belongs to your position and which belongs to a public example. An advertised range, an agreed base rate, a possible differential and a pay date answer different questions. None should be silently substituted for another.
Northwell’s public job advertisements describe the listed compensation as a potential base range that may change. The exact role, location, experience, credentials and other relevant factors matter. The figures below are public posting snapshots reviewed September 30, 2026, not average Northwell earnings or promises that the jobs remain open.
| Public example | Location | Published base range |
|---|---|---|
| Patient Care Associate, requisition 182123 | Forest Hills, NY | $30.82–$31.39 per hour |
| Registered Nurse, Med Surg, requisition 197742 | Manhasset, NY | $62.04–$93.97 per hour |
| Administrative Support Assistant, requisition 185187 | Flushing, NY | $34,820–$51,950 per year |
These are different jobs with different requirements. The table is a lesson in scope and units, not a ranking of careers or a measure of what the same worker would earn in each. We have not converted the annual figure into an hourly rate because the necessary paid-hours assumptions are not established here.

Read the offer and the calendar separately
Your own offer materials identify the individual terms being presented. If a public posting and those materials appear inconsistent, ask about the exact role, requisition and amount instead of assuming the top of the range is owed. Ask whether a figure is hourly or annual and whether it describes base pay.
Separately, confirm the payroll calendar and which work period the first payment covers. A page written for a particular group entering through a practice transition should not be used as the universal Northwell pay schedule. This article does not announce a systemwide payday or tell you when your deposit will arrive.
Additional pay needs an actual condition
If a differential, premium or other addition matters to your understanding, ask whether it applies to the specific assignment and how the condition is described in the applicable materials. Do not borrow a coworker’s amount from another role or assume a shift label guarantees a particular addition.
Likewise, ask how training or a temporary assignment is treated when the instructions differ from the normal role. An independent site cannot determine the pay treatment of those circumstances from a general job description.
A concise question before confusion grows
For a fictional new hire, a useful question might be: “Please confirm the base rate and pay unit for the position in my offer, the applicable payroll calendar, and where I can find the conditions for the shift addition discussed.” That asks for identifiable facts without asking the recruiter to calculate every future paycheck.
Once you have the right individual information, keep it in the employer’s authorized process and your permitted private records. Do not submit pay statements or bank details here. For source applicability beyond pay, read which benefits information applies to your role.
