Northwell’s public careers FAQ directs former-team-member employment-verification inquiries to its contact form. It separately identifies an alumni network and a dedicated route for Public Service Loan Forgiveness form questions. These are public routing references, not a guarantee of an individual response time or eligibility for a program.
Define what the requesting organization needs
A request may ask for dates and role, a particular form, or confirmation through an authorized verification process. Read the request before contacting the former employer. “Please send all my records” is broader and less useful than identifying the particular verification needed.
Confirm the requester and its submission requirements independently. Do not send identity documents, bank details or full employment files to a new address simply because it claims to be handling verification. The necessary data and recipient should be clear before transmission.
Prepare the question, not an unnecessary archive
You can initially identify the purpose of the verification, the form or process named by the requester and the deadline you are trying to meet. Let the authorized former-employer route tell you which identifying information it needs and how it should be submitted. This publication cannot verify employment or accept forms on Northwell’s behalf.
If another organization has its own deadline, tell the official contact, but do not assume that sending the request pauses it or guarantees completion by then. Ask the requesting organization about its own acceptable process if timing is a concern.
PSLF paperwork is a distinct issue
A form inquiry should follow the specific official route identified for that purpose. A former employer’s completion of employment information is not itself a determination that you qualify for loan forgiveness. Do not infer program eligibility from this guide, a job title or participation in an alumni community.

Staying connected serves another purpose
An alumni network may be useful for news, events or professional connection. Joining one is a separate choice from obtaining required verification. You should not feel you must enroll in a community merely to understand where the public verification route is located.
